Our next adventure into the archives digs out one of Belgium’s most iconic exports. Almost 30 years on since it destroyed its first dancefloor, ‘The House Of House’ became a behemoth and an anthem to the burgeoning club scene all across Europe and beyond. Created by an ensemble of DJ’s and producers – collectively known as Cherry Moon Trax – who not only played at the famous club, but also held residencies in the majority of top venues around Belgium, the track was the ultimate groove to ignite a room. Over the years, the track has been remixed, reworked and reimagined countless ways, giving it a timeless persona that just keeps on giving goosebumps to new generations of listeners. For this release, we’ve remastered the original along with a choice selection of some of the best remixes to date. Housed in original artwork sleeve and cut on to 2x marbled vinyl, the mouth-watering tracklist has the Original Mix in all its infectious glory followed by the powerful trance grooves of Oliver Lieb’s superb Mix 1 on side A. Side B holds two sublime remixes from heavy hitters Jam El Mar with his slow burning progressive monster and M.I.K.E. Push with a wonderfully anthemic hands-in-the-air tune. The second disc features a classic trancey groove on side C with the Moon Project Remix while DJ Taucher delivers a ferocious banger in his typical style. The package is completed with the inclusion of the successors to ‘The House Of House’. ‘Let There Be House’ followed hot on the heels and ripped up the floors in a similar manner while ‘Conflictation’ delivers a trippy and energetic flow that soon became an epic power groove in the clubs.
